Mark Strigl has been a music fan from a very young age. His all-time favorite music groups and artists include Tool, KISS, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, U2, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Guns N' Roses, and Black Sabbath. He has attended hundreds of rock concerts in his lifetime, the first of which was a Motley Crue/Saxon show at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom in 1984. Not long after attending his first metal concert, and obviously inspired, Mark began playing his first Gibson Explorer, which soon became his axe of choice. His first Explorer was white with self-applied black tape to match the one played by the Scorpions' Matthias Jabs. Mark has released several CDs with various different bands and projects. He has worked in the television industry for over 14 years. Mark's long-form production work has included: MTV's It Came from The 80'S Pt2: Metal Goes Pop, VH1's 8 Track Flashback, VH1's Legends, VH1's 100 Greatest Countdown shows, VH1's Divas 2001, and "Barbie Theater" segments for The Rosie O'Donnell show (where he was part of an Emmy Award winning team). He has produced promos for filmmakers Steven Spielberg and M Night Shyamalan. Mark hosts his own podcast shows and has been featured in front of the camera as a "metal expert" for VH1 and MTV2. Mark
